What is the National Examining Board of Ocularists?
The National Examining Board of Ocularists (NEBO) is an independent entity that awards the title BCO (Board Certified Ocularist) to those ocularists who successfully complete a thorough four-part written and practical examination.  The NEBO board of directors include a Public Member, and representatives from the following organizations:

• American Academy of Ophthalmology
• American Board for Certification of Orthotics and Prosthetics
• American Society of Ocularists
